Hope Develops into Belief with hypnosis CDs
When you are discouraged, it is almost impossible to do anything. Life seems dark and the thought of losing weight seems impossible. What can be done to brighten this picture? Hypnosis has helped many people to plant seeds of hope which develop into robust beliefs which enhance success. In the dark valley of despair, depression and hopelessness take hold. Food cravings become too intense to resist. Thoughts of finding some pleasure somewhere occupy the mind. The motivation to exercise and to follow the diet is nonexistent. The main task of life is just to stay afloat. There are many sources which attach pleasure to eating. The fast food industry offers high calorie meals cheaply. When cooking is too much effort, it is easy to see why many people give into the advertising blitz to gain pleasure with a fast food fix. Comfort foods seem to elevate your mood even if it is only for a little while. The temporary guilt is a part of life in the cycle of despair. When people begin to feel hope growing in their mind, they begin to cook for themselves. They resist the food cravings and opt for healthier options. They exercise more and slowly, the hope grows into belief. The belief grows stronger in intensity when it is nurtured. When this happens, weight loss becomes your new reality. Happiness and hope cause endorphins to flow through your body. Your metabolism speeds up and you seem to be having help from your once resistant body. Your mind also comes to your assistance and makes weight loss effort seem easier. You see the evidence of your effort when you look at the scale and hear complements from family and friends. It is truly a good feeling. In hypnosis, you relax and your subconscious mind receives the positive suggestions. These positive suggestions become your new reality because the conscious mind which is limited is temporarily inactive. You see success in the visualizations. This success image translates into hope which develops into your new belief. Then, your body and mind work with you to help you to achieve your weight loss goal. One of my clients needed to lose weight due to severe knee and back pain. She tried many approaches. Her family and friends viewed her as a weight loss failure. She was truly in the valley of despair. She had no hope and felt frightened. She was even too afraid to think of bypass surgery. With hypnosis, she began to lose weight, to baby sit her granddaughter, and to arrange for the bypass surgery to lose the weight faster in order to help her daughter who was seriously ill. She felt that hypnosis gave her the hope which developed into belief and confidence. Another client had severe diabetes, mental illness, epilepsy, and asthma. She worked for a long time to develop belief. She lost weight, got her sugar levels under control, and prepared for the lap band surgery to make it easier for her. She felt less afraid when contemplating surgery and losing weight. Many of my clients lose the weight without surgery. They persist and lose the weight. One of my clients lost one hundred pounds with hypnosis alone. She developed the belief that she could persist and lose the weight. She reported increased self esteem and was able to plan for a happy retirement. If you are feeling hopeless about the possibility of losing weight, then hypnosis can help. As your hope develops into belief, many of the goals that you have put on the back burner begin to come front and center. You feel good because you can realize your dreams. Take the next step and locate a hypnotherapist or a hypnotherapy recording to help you to lose weight. With hypnosis cds or visits, your dreams can be your new reality. I have been a therapist for many years in the Boston area.. My discipline is social work and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts. I practice in a clinic in Malden Massachusetts where I use both rational emotive therapy and hypnosis to help people achieve their goals. My private practice is also very rewarding in which I do home-based hypnosis.

Hypnosis – a welcome alternative to crash dieting
For many the struggle to lose weight is an endless cycle of self sacrifice, low self esteem and resigned acceptance. It is a difficult and daunting task to lose weight, much of the hard work can be rapidly undone when a crash diet ends and normality returns. There are often psychological reasons for overeating such as stress, boredom or sadness. Unless these reasons and patterns of behaviour are changed it is likely that the ‘old ways’ will return. There are alternatives however: Hypnosis combined with Neuro Linguistic Programming and Time Line Therapy has proven very successful. Master Hypnotist Luca Senatore has helped many people lose up to 6 pounds a week. Luca works with the unconscious mind to identify and clear the reasons for unhealthy eating. He then works to establish alternative behaviours creating a healthy attitude towards food and general lifestyle. Luca is currently involved with a documentary recording how a local woman lost a total of 5 stones following a hypnotherapy program. Details of this exciting project will be released in October 2009. Many of Luca’s clients report big improvements in other areas of their life. Julie attended a 2 session program and says: ‘Food does not seem my priority anymore. I eat when I am hungry and find that my portions are smaller. I have now lost a total of 8 lbs!’ Kim has reported: ‘my carbohydrate portions are about half what they used to be and it’s not something I have to enforce, that’s just the way it is. I feel more energetic and my thoughts are naturally turning to exercise in my free time. I am not craving junk food anymore.’ Luca simply claims: ‘diets don’t work, reprogramming your mind to feel less hungry and like certain foods less does.’ Luca Senatore runs East Anglia Hypnotherapy based in Cambridge and is a fully qualified Master Hypnotist, NLP and Time Line Therapy Practitioner and Life Coach registered with the British Institute of Hypnotherapy. www.eastangliahypnotherapy.com. 01223 303 904 or bookings@eastangliahypnotherapy.com Sales and Marketing Professional with 20 years experience at Corporate level. While hypnosis is not a word we hear everyday, it is a word that many people seem to have a preconceived definition for. The most common thought is that hypnosis is an altered state of mind that brings the subject to a trance like state. The rest of the definition not quite as well known is subject is vulnerable to suggestions in order to change their lives. When combined this is a correct assumption and a rather accurate description. However hypnosis entails more than just the trance like state you see depicted in many movies and television shows, it is a deep and complicated relationship held between hypnotist and subject that comes complete with a desired set of goals to achieve. Hypnosis is an altered state of mind. When a subject is under hypnosis they are much more responsive as they experience their inner world the subject’s thoughts and ideas become more vivid and actionable through the art of suggestion and language. The responsiveness in a hypnotic trance is much more sensitive than that of a normal state of being; thoughts and suggestions presented by you, the hypnotist, will become part of your subject’s inner world creating a pallet for you to work with and mold into the desired outcome. This is important to remember, because as you sharpen your skills as a hypnotist you will always be affecting your subject, everything that becomes a part of your clients inner world will eventually become a part of their outer world as they put your hypnotic suggestions into action. Another thing that hypnosis is is a very natural way of being, it is not magical or strange, and in fact many people spend a large amount of their days in hypnotic trances, as you learn to entrance people you will start to notice those around you who are experiencing hypnotic trances in everyday life. An example of an everyday experience that can often result in a hypnotic trance is driving. Many times we get behind the wheel and know where we started, and suddenly we are at our destination. We don’t recall how we got there or any of the events that happened along the drive, this is a hypnotic trance. The rhythms we are used to, such as the feel of the car, can relax us to the point that our subconscious takes over and does the work for use while we, excuse the term as many like to call it, ‘zone out’. This may sound strange at first but when you really consider all the activities we do everyday we have been conditioned all through out our lives to enter hypnotic trances. Have you ever watched a movie and later realized that the only thing in your mind and field of vision was a 15 inch screen, obviously you can see the rest of the room, people, cat and dog while focusing on the screen but the concentration and trance that is produced makes it seem as though the only thing that exists in the room is that little screen and the action it is producing. Reading a book, we often get lost in the story and never realize what the ‘real world’ is doing around us. As you read you experience changing emotions, happiness, fear, suspense, sadness and tears. This interaction with the words and information being relayed to your mind alters your state of mind and becomes a hypnotic process in itself. This emotional response is unconscious, the changing of your emotions, ideas and life, is one of the fundamental and guiding themes when learning hypnosis. You have no choice in your emotions, you do not get to choose how you feel about a thing, it is simply a conscious response by your unconscious mind as a reaction to the suggestions you are presenting to yourself. Hypnosis can and usually will result from any repetitive task you enjoy engaging in. Runners experience runners high, they alter their mind and experience a trance like state while their body works they feel healthy and alive. Entering this altered state of mind is a form of self hypnotherapy which is a very powerful place to put yourself, and a powerful thing to be able to accomplish for yourself. There is almost always the effect that the book you are reading will change either your mood, emotion, ideas and ultimately could change how you live your life, such is the objective of a hypnotist.Learn Hypnosis WP Autoblog Software

I had a conversation the other evening with a group of people who all work in the same firm and in which several colleagues had all lost significant amounts of weight and had kept it off. I asked how they had got started on this course of action. The answer, which everyone was in agreement with, was that one particular person had started to lose weight and was about 20 pounds lighter than before; everyone began to comment upon how good he looked and then one colleague said he would do it too…then the other’s said “if you’re doing it, I’ll do it too”. A reference was made to the “herd instinct”. That’s how it all began. Everyone who joined this group has lost weight and kept if off – EVERYONE. Now that is, I have to say, unusual. Clearly the first person, the leader, inspired a great deal of confidence within the group. I do not know them well enough to know what dynamics were at work, but it is interesting to conjecture what might have happened… Perhaps this “weight loss leader” was someone who was particularly well respected in general, someone who everybody looked up to and tried to emulate. Perhaps this was not the case; maybe this “weight loss leader” was actually a REALLY overweight person, who had tried every diet under the sun and failed in the past, and in losing weight now made everyone think “If he can do it, I DEFINITELY can”. You can see now how diverse the underlying dynamics could be, but whatever they were, they worked. What is also demonstrated is how suggestible we all are, provided we are given the right suggestion. A stage hypnotist knows only too well how to put the human instinct for suggestibility to work. A stage hypnotist will pick the most highly suggestible subject to perform the first “trick” and then work in order from one person to another in accordance with their initial levels of suggestibility. As each person is seen responding to the hypnotist’s suggestion the following person’s suggestibility is raised. And so by the end, the least suggestible subject will become as suggestible as the first subject to be picked. That person’s belief in the hypnotist’s ability is raised, bit by bit, simply by observing the others reactions. The bottom line is that we are all suggestible, given the correct stimulus. I wish I had a dollar for every person who over the years has booked a hypnotherapy session and upon arrival their opening announcement was “I don’t know if this will work as I know I’m not suggestible”. As a hypnotherapist, my job is to work out what is the right “hook” for each person. This job is quite often done before the client arrives; for example, if a heavy smoker has been for a hypnotherapy session and stopped easily, then everyone they tell expects it to work for them, just as if a “larger” person has lost a lot of weight encourages everyone else to think that they can do it too. And so when asked the question of how suggestible you are, the answer is that you are as suggestible as you want to be. It boils down to expectation and desire. We are all inherently suggestible which is witnessed in the way in which we pick up our native tongue, and learn so many things simply by imitating and copying. We are suggestible in things such as clothing fashion, hair style, and choice of career. Every human being is extraordinarily suggestible! Continue Reading »The Atkins Diet And How It Works
The Atkins Diet is a popular “low-carb” weight reduction program, but it is often greatly misunderstood! Common, yet slightly exaggerated depictions of the plan portray dieters devouring nothing but vast amounts of meat and fat. Although the program is not quite that simple, many dieters under the program have successfully lost weight and improved their health.
On this plan, dieters follow a highly specific regimen based on cutting carbohydrate intake. The nutritional aspects of the plan are emphasized over exercise and other factors, although getting physical activity is encouraged. There are four phases in the Atkins plan:
Induction: During this two-week stage at the start of the diet program, dieters can only have up to 20 grams of carbs per day. Dieters can ingest high protein foods such as meat and poultry, fats such as butter and oils, and other food with little to no carbohydrate content. Many foods with carbs are not permitted at all, including alcoholic beverages.
This initial phase is intended to help the body switch from burning carbs for energy, as it usually does, into burning stored up fat (the state called ketosis). Most dieters begin to lose weight during this stage.
Ongoing Weight Loss: During this stage, dieters gradually increase their carbohydrate consumption by adding 5 grams of carbs into their diet every week. Dieters fine-tune their diet, losing weight to put themselves within 5-10 pounds of their goal weight, before moving into the Pre-maintenance phase.
Pre-maintenance: Dieters use the Pre-maintenance phase to find out the maximum amount of carbs they can ingest without experiencing weight gain. During this stage, dieters add 10 grams of carbohydrates to their diet each week. Once dieters reach their target weight and can maintain it for one month, they move into the Lifetime Maintenance stage.
Lifetime Maintenance: For lasting results, the Atkins program is designed to be maintained throughout the dieter’s lifetime. Using the strategies that helped the dieter reach their goal weight, the dieter develops an eating and exercise program to stay at their target weight. Individuals can revert to previous stages if they ever begin to regain weight.
Dieters who can commit to the Atkins diet are typically successful in losing weight; however, many people are unable to keep following the program and end up quitting early on in the initial induction stage. In general, most diet plans fail because dieters cannot stay committed to the plan.
Many people struggle with dieting because they experience strong food cravings, have problems with compulsive overeating, cannot control their appetites, or simply lack the motivation to lose weight. Overcoming these mental obstacles is the most challenging aspect of losing weight.
One reason why many people cannot seem to manage their eating is because they are emotional eaters. Such people eat in response to their feelings, such as when they are bored or upset. However, this habit programs a “conditioned response” into the unconscious mind. This means that when individuals experience the same emotion that made them overeat initially, they will feel compelled to overeat again and again.
Hypnotherapy works by helping our unconscious minds disassociate our emotions from our eating habits. To eliminate the conditioned response to overeat, a hypnotherapy weight loss program is used to break the association in the unconscious mind between overeating and specific “trigger” situations.
For example, if you tend to binge eat when you feel bored, hypnosis can disassociate boredom from eating in your unconscious mind. Hypnosis can then be used to replace the overeating response with another activity, such as exercising. That way, the next time you suffer from boredom, instead of having an urge to overeat, you will feel motivated to engage in physical activity.
Hypnosis is an excellent tool for stress relief as well, helping us cope with our stressful feelings and relieve tension without eating. As a relaxation tool, it calms the mind, helps you develop strategies to cope with stress, and boosts your self confidence to promote natural weight loss.
Self hypnosis can also be used to remove the emotional stressors that keep you from losing weight. Many overweight people use their weight for emotional protection. For example, after a painful end to a relationship, people might find themselves becoming overweight so they can avoid relationships and avoid having to endure emotional pain again. Through hypnosis, we can turn our negative thoughts into positive ones and focus on improving our health instead of becoming overwhelmed by our emotions.
Not only is hypnosis a powerful motivation tool, it relieves stress, extinguishes the conditioned responses that trigger overeating, and can help you overcome the mental obstacles that prevent weight loss. Hypnotherapy for weight loss is really effective at helping people stay on a diet plan, such as the Atkins plan, and lose weight. Alan B. Ask WHAT Instead of WHY
Every now and then life throws us a curve-ball. This is unavoidable even for the most grounded and successful people. There are a number of causes of frustration and unhappiness, and one of these is the expectation that ‘everything should always go exactly as I want it to go’. Books on the subject of the Law of Attraction would have you believe that you CAN have everything your way all of the time, I’ve never seen this proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is not to say that I’m not a fan of the Law of Attraction; on the contrary, I’m a big fan and I use the principles in my every day life. For the most part I am happy. I’m able to create the things I want and I’m living my life on purpose. But like everybody, I have days where I just want to cry out with frustration. We all have those days. The key to getting through them is to let go of your attachment to things being ‘just so’ all of the time. One of the most common questions we can ask ourselves when things aren’t going quite as we had planned is ‘Why?’ This question can often leaves us feeling stuck and defeated, because the answer is usually something we don’t want to hear or acknowledge. The ‘why’ question very often finishes with the phrase ‘I don’t know.’ If they are not used correctly, ‘why’ questions can exacerbate the existing problem rather than assisting us to generate a solution. The ‘why’s are particularly prevalent among my weight loss clients. Here are some of the more disempowering ‘why’ questions: * Why am I doing this?;* Why did he do that to me?;* Why me????’;* Why Can’t I lose this weight? When you ask these kinds of questions you often end up going around in circles. Many of my clients become stuck in victim mentality. They hang onto past hurts and resentments, continually asking ‘Why??’, and continuing to get the same answer. ‘I don’t know’. The truth is it’s likely that most times you will never know the answer to life’s mysteries. Most often we never really discover the real reasons why some things happen to us, so if we allow ourselves to become attached to finding that answer then it only causes more frustration, pain and emptiness. Take weight loss for example. When I conduct the initial weight loss hypnotherapy consultation, I very rarely ask the client to describe her current eating habits. Whatever she’s doing, it’s not working; that’s why she’s come to see me. So from where I’m standing, asking the client about what she is doing now only serves to give the unwanted behavior more power and waste valuable time that could otherwise be used to discuss more positive strategies. Even if I was to engage the client in discussion of her current behavior, she would probably tell me: ‘I don’t know why I do it.’ ‘Danielle’ found herself going around in circles. She was 50 kilos overweight and getting bigger every day. No matter what work we did together, she continued to hang onto her old behaviors. Each session she would earnestly say to me: ‘I don’t know why I keep doing this’. Unfortunately, ‘Danielle’ was looking to me to provide the answer and when I couldn’t, she went away deeming the therapy a ‘failure’. You can’t win’em all. But all was not lost; my experience with ‘Danielle’ inspired me to focus on the solution rather than the problem with my clients. Remember, your subconscious mind gives you whatever you focus on. When focusing on solutions, I like to use ‘what’ questions, such as: * What emotions are you feeling when you overeat?;* What purpose does overeating serve you at the time?;* What specifically are you willing to do differently to change your circumstances? This last question is very important. At the end of the day, ‘Danielle’ continued with her old habits and behaviors because she was not willing to do something different. No amount of hypnosis can help a person who is not willing to change what they are doing. Now, I’m not saying we should never explore the reasons why people overeat and refuse to exercise. Diagnosis is an intrinsic part of my program. What I AM saying is that most times we don’t need to know why we are behaving in a certain way in order to be able to move away from that behavior. We simply need to get ourselves out of that stuck mindset that says ‘because I have always done this in the past, this means I am destined to do it forever.’ So the next time you feel stuck, try a ‘what’ question instead. This will open your mind to creative solutions and inspire you to do something different. Here’s to positive change. Sonia Devine is one of Australia’s leading experts in weight loss hypnotherapy. Some people believe that weight loss begins in the mind. But the question I’ll try to answer is: could lose weight hypnosis be an alternative for losing weight? Permanent weight loss occurs with a change in lifestyle, not through unnatural diets that are impossible to maintain.Hypnotism has become an important part of weight loss strategies. Currently, more and more people are turning to hypnosis or hypnotherapy for help with weight loss. Many traditional weight loss programmes leave us feeling frustrated and deprived. It is known that this is the pattern of weight loss but that slowing down of the weight coming off makes the whole process seem more effortful. The weight isn’t dropping off as fast as it was. Lots of people try to lose weight using methods based on hypnosis. But the weight doesn’t stay off. Many individuals these days, male or female, young or old, are struggling with weight management. Repetitive weight loss and gain is hard on the body, especially the heart and of course, it is hard on the emotional state of the dieter as well. Temporary weight loss is easy. This is probably because patients have not made any fundamental changes to their behavior, which would result in weight loss. Self hypnosis is usually thought of as a person listening to an audio tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media, intended to induce a willingness to absorb suggestions centered around a specific topic such as weight loss, stop smoking, etc. As soon as the patient can measure progress for this goal (like pounds lost, if the goal is weight loss, days of no smoking, if the goal is to stop smoking, and so on. People go to the hypnotist for a variety of reasons: some people’s problems are more ‘on the surface’, for instance weight watchers, smokers, people with a drinking problem; some on the other hand have more deep rooted issues, which could deal with their self image, traumatic experiences in their life, divorce, deaths, or career decisions, among others. Also be aware of what you feel for the moment like the temperature of your skin, the weight of your body against the chair or bed etc. From smoking to sexual problems, from will power to weight loss, all types of hypnosis downloads are available on the internet. Apart from hypnosis, there are many stop smoking ‘products’ on the market that patients can choose. Because hypnosis permanently changes patient’s attitude towards smoking they have little chance of relapse at any point in the future. You may have heard that people get hypnotized to lose weight or quit habits like smoking or chewing their fingernails. For example, a stop smoking hypnosis may delve into the rationale for quitting – my family is important to me and needs me to be healthy. It is better to live a long life than a short one, etc. For self hypnosis to help people quit smoking and losing weight, all people need to do is visit some particular sites and click on a particular hypnotic routine. For example, if you want to quit smoking you will have to download the MP3 related to hypnosis for smoking. As a result of stopping smoking there will be an improvement in health. Smoking cessation, confidence building and habit breaking are all positive outcomes that self hypnosis bring. People do actually succeed in stopping smoking but the same method of stopping does not work for everyone and sometimes the same method may finally work only after a second or third attempt at it is tried. Hypnosis is probably best known for breaking habits with stop smoking and weight loss success and yet it has been found to be effective in reducing and managing stress, achieving deep relaxation, increasing energy, overcoming fears, overcoming insomnia, and reducing the experience of pain. From low confidence to sexual issues, from smoking to weight loss, people seem to be benefiting from the effects of hypnosis for a variety of problems. Hypnosis that is designed to address a habit like smoking or eating is often delivered in group sessions held over a number of hours, and it can also be administered by CDs and tapes at home. Nearly every popular diet plan ends up backfiring. They seem good at first, but they adversely stimulate the body’s survival mechanisms. This causes the body to store extra fat, lower its metabolic rate, conserve energy and increase food cravings. Desperate people hope in vain that the results will be different this time. And the next. This is the dreaded ‘yo-yo’ dieting syndrome. You know the problem. You’re tired of losing the same weight over and over. You’ve tried every diet and fad imaginable. All your well-intentioned, painful efforts failed. You are not alone. Only 2% of dieters keep the weight off for 5 years. More than 60% of Americans are overweight. Even worse, because it can be so hard to stick to a diet plan most people ultimately just give up, and suffer many negative emotions. Sound familiar? Also, many believe that they don’t have the strength or willpower to succeed. Or it is just never the right time. Desperate people hope in vain that the results will be different next time. And the next. This is the dreaded ‘yo-yo’ dieting syndrome. Over $30 billion spent on diet products, pills, fads and centers each year has proven one undeniable fact: DIETS DON’T WORK! So what can you do? Is there hope? Yes… read on. One of the most interesting and revealing weight loss challenges of our time was witnessed by millions of viewers. “Dateline” put six methods to the test in front of millions of viewers; Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Jorge Cruise, Marathon Training, and Hypnosis. Many were surprised by the results. All but one of the methods showed poor to terrible results – even though the participants had unfair coaching and advantages not available to ordinary people. There were also painful side-effects. Only one method really succeeded – hypnosis. And this was with the hardest case – a pastry chef with cravings, and a difficult schedule. Yet after three months under hypnosis he had lost the most – a staggering 40 pounds. Also, he was the only participant who did not suffer. He was happy. Changes occurred naturally. Not to mention other positive benefits and feelings. Also, he was the only one who had started a reasonable lifestyle change that could be maintained. None of the other methods can do that. This televised study shows without a doubt how many popular weight loss programs fail. Yet I hear all the time; “I must go back to ’so-and-so’ because it worked last time.” Let’s be serious; if it worked then why do you need to go back? Did you regain the weight plus interest? Then it failed! I am appalled that most diet centers thrive on repeat business. It is just not fair to exploit people that way. So let’s redefine success as life-long freedom from a weight problem. And to make it a reality, perhaps it’s time for a different strategy – one that actually works! To paraphrase Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Hypnosis is clearly a superior method for making lasting and natural changes in behavior. The evidence supporting this is overwhelming. The incredible long-term results put other methods to shame. With the aid of hypnosis you have it within you to enjoy freedom from cravings; have the energy and desire to exercise; naturally choose and enjoy healthier foods and portions; achieve freedom from stress and stress-eating and enjoy amazing confidence. The use of hypnosis is sweeping the nation. Clinically tested and proven, hypnosis is a fresh approach to eliminating problems and modifying behavior. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Americans are using hypnosis every day. Old myths and misconceptions about hypnosis have been replaced by its ethical use in law, medicine, psychology, dentistry, education, sports and self-improvement. Millions have benefited from its use. Imagine having tremendous willpower, enjoying healthy exercise, naturally maintaining your ideal size and figure and always being calm and relaxed. Why imagine? Everyone can be easily hypnotized. Hypnotized people are fully aware and in control, and cannot be made to do anything against their will. In fact, hypnosis is as safe as falling asleep at night, as well as being relaxing and fun. Rational Weight loss combined with Hypnosis Cds
When you are looking to lose weight, often you have a hard time sticking to a diet. If you could just stick with it, you know you would succeed. However, the foods haunt you and you cheat just one time. You figure that it will not hurt this time. However, one time leads to many and the good intentions have gone south. If this sounds like you, rational emotive behavior therapy and hypnosis cds can help. Rational emotive behavior therapy teaches skills to promote success in the diet. You learn how to manage cravings, how to prepare for a diet, and how to choose a diet that you can manage. Every one is different. A diet that works for your friend might not work for you. Your food preferences and calorie needs are different from your friend’s needs. You are unique. Every person has a different activity level and different triggers. Skills to manage these triggers and the coping statements to help yourself avoid emotional eating are incorporated in the therapy. If you are working to lose weight, hypnosis cds and rational emotive therapy can help. Working with a therapist and a hypnotherapist can give you the support to you’re the change. You can do it if you take the first step to find the help that you need.Your diet preferences are also considered. Consulting with your doctor is also important to help you to remain healthy throughout the process. Learning new habits takes time and being gentle with yourself and avoiding self downing behaviors also promotes success. Hypnosis cds repeats the needed skills and makes it easier to stay on track. Also positive images of success are very motivating. The images build hope that grows into belief. The belief matures into your new thinner body. Success is born because belief flourished. Wherever there is hope and belief success follows. One of my friends had to lose weight because she was fifty pounds overweight. She used hypnosis cds from a well known hypnotherapist in Pittsburgh. She reported that she succeeded because the cds gave her the boost that she needed to promote success. She used a diet that was one thousand calories and walked more to add some exercise to her life. She lost the weight and felt empowered in other areas of her life. She felt confident that she could keep the weight off because she had learned healthy eating habits. Finding nonfood rewards is also helpful. Learning to comfort yourself with music, perfume, television and other nonfood self soothing strategies promotes success. Being gentle with yourself and recognizing that new learning takes time is also important. Being compassionate and parenting yourself with love and compassion promotes success. People respond better to gentleness and persistent encouragement. Punishment only works in the short term. A reward that motivates you will spur you on to success.

The Weight Loss Study Witnessed by Millions
In April 2003, “Dateline” introduced six members of the class of ‘78 at Quincy High in Massachusetts, looking to lose weight for their 25th reunion in the fall of 2003. The six methods used were Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Jorge Cruise, Marathon Training, and Hypnosis. Here is how they stack up: Slimfast Mark Giordani, using Slimfast started to complain of hunger all the time. And nothing seemed to satisfy him. “I went back to the attitude where I’m hungry, I’m going to eat and I don’t really care.” Despite expert intervention that is not available to most people, he couldn’t wait for the diet challenge to end. To quote Mark: “I’m going to IHOP tomorrow, and I’m getting the whole left side of the menu.” Obviously, if it needs expert intervention, it’s not likely to work on its own. Also, a lot of specialized food has to be bought. Hardly a recipe for success if you attempt to live life normally. Atkins The Atkins participant, Rick Burnes, had headaches, terrible constipation, and developed a painful case of gout, that he believed was a result of the diet. He gained 24 pounds, despite having specialized help from a leading Atkins expert, special meals and even medical attention. Enough said. So, could this plan be called a lifestyle? Definitely not. As well as having to buy expensive food, there had to be intervention from an expert. Weight Watchers Kathy Wynters, doing Weight Watchers, refused to weigh in, but after the diet immediately went for deserts and chocolates. To quote her: “The desserts and the chocolates. I had them, I wanted them and I had them.” And she began putting on weight. Despite having expert help, this occurred twice. The fact that this woman had used this program previously is very important. Since she weighed even more than before when starting the program this time it is clear that doing it in the past had not created any worthy changes in her lifestyle of metabolism. Also, expert ’supervision’ was required again. Obviously things go downhill when the supervision is ended? Jorge Cruise Eleanor Talbot, did the Jorge Cruise program. After having problems, Dateline arranged a weekend retreat to help Eleanor, and intervention from the programs founder. Further, because of emotional issues she had, she required more expert help again. Most people do not have access to this extra support. And it didn’t really help her. Again, she needed constant, expensive personal support. Keep in mind that although it is often vital to address emotional problems when losing weight, this is generally ignored with most programs. Marathon Training Lynn Frank tried marathon training. She also stuck to 1300 a day. She was trained by a leading expert. But progress was unsatisfactory. So Lynn received expert intervention from a nutritionist and exercise physiologist. Even though she did lose weight, she required extensive coaching and suffered a lot of pain and injury. Let’s face it – expert coaching is not a realistic lifestyle. Keep in mind that all the above participants had expert intervention not available to most. This shows that it’s not likely to work “out of the box”. Much expensive, specialized food had to be bought. Despite all the extra support the results were not at all good. Hypnosis Marc Merlis tried Hypnosis. No doubt he was the toughest case – a pastry chef with cravings, and a difficult schedule. After only three months Marc had lost more than any of the other participants – an incredible 40 pounds. Hypnosis motivated Marc to enthusiastically work with a fitness trainer, and to eat properly and with natural control That’s when his wife got in on the action. The hypnotist helped her to stop smoking. And guess what? Smoke free, and fat free. Very interesting is that using hypnosis, Marc did not suffer. He was happy. Changes occurred naturally. Not to mention other positive benefits and feelings. AND he established a true and realistic lifestyle. In summary, losing weight successfully is not about dieting, but rather a sensible lifestyle that can be readily accepted. Hypnosis facilitates this admirably. Instead of being an instant fix, it aims for long-term results. Another significant fact is that the problems other participants had with emotions, willpower, self-discipline and enthusiasm could also have been helped with hypnosis. Study after study shows that hypnosis is the most successful and affordable method for weight loss, as well as many other behavior changes. Hypnosis can truly be a light at the end of the tunnel for so many who have failed with other methods, or simply given up hope. I hope you agree that hypnosis was the clear winner.
