Why I Love Hypnosis
Hypnosis is the most fantastic facilitator to the human mind and hence to human potential. The key to success is in your own mind and hypnosis is the state which will unlock it. This is why I love hypnosis. To not use hypnosis is like having a beautiful airplane, complete with pilot and staff at your disposal, unlimited money for fuel, permission to land anywhere in the world, but to not have the ability to pass on your instructions to these people. I was going to use the analogy of having a train with no engine, but this would be wrong. The engine is there, in full working order; it’s just a lack of communication, or confused communication which prevents the train from steaming off along the tracks or the plane charging down the runway and soaring into the air. How you think is critical to success or failure in life. How you think is critical to how happy you are. How you think is even reflected in your physical health and well being. Your reality is only real because you perceive it as such. It is your own perceptions, and your own interpretation of these perceptions, which create your reality. You and I, at this moment in time, are living different realities. Even if we were in the same room, watching the exact same television program, sitting on the same sofa, we would be experiencing different realities. You could be having a great time, feeling comfortable on the sofa, laughing at what is playing on the television. I, on the other hand, might be experiencing discomfort; I might be finding the sofa to be lumpy, my back sore, my teeth hurting and the program anything but hilarious! I could even not be paying attention to what is going on now and instead be “lost in thought”, perhaps day-dreaming. I could be mulling over something which happened 20 years ago or projecting into the future and imagining something. But whether your thoughts are focused in the present, the past or the future, each thought creates a feeling, a sensation, a good or a bad feeling, and these feelings are real. Your thoughts create your reality. We all know this to be true, so why do so few of us take the time to choose our thoughts more carefully? I fear that the answer to this is that most people do not know HOW to change their thoughts. And so I am on a mission to enlighten people to the empowering and facilitating effect of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a normal and natural state of mind. It is the state between wake and sleep. As you drift off to sleep your brain waves change from the beta waves of normal waking consciousness to the alpha-theta waves of relaxation and sleep. The same shift in brain wave activity is seen in hypnosis. When you dream each night, in the REM state, your brain carries out the task of conflict resolution. This happens each and every night and is vital to our health and well being. Hypnosis facilitates conflict resolution – conflict between what you think you should do and what you want to do, or between what you want to do but do not believe you could do, and so on. Hypnosis allows access to your subconscious mind, to your underlying beliefs and expectations. Thus the state of hypnosis facilitates change within your inner mind. With hypnosis you can change limiting beliefs, and you can also install new and empowering beliefs. You can get the right and left sides of your brain communicating smoothly, you can get your will power and your imagination aligned. With hypnosis you can set your mind to achieve anything you want. You can unlock your talent and creativity and allow yourself to be open to inspiration, happiness and success. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are regularly associated with hypnosis weight loss, stop smoking hypnosis or stop nail biting. But these are just three applications of the empowering ability of hypnosis. You will see from the myriad titles of hypnosis downloads on my website the wide-spread application of hypnosis in your life. What I really love about hypnosis is its unlimited potential; it’s power to change the world, to change YOUR world, YOUR reality, YOUR health and well-being. Many people believe that a hypnotist has supernatural powers and can control you. This is absolutely false. If you ever saw my hypnosis stage shows (which I no longer perform) it appears as if I am controlling them but as my shows proved hypnotized people will never do anything against their will. The CIA also conducted secret experiments in the 1950s using hypnosis and drugs to try and create the ultimate war soldier and they learned that they couldn’t force people to act against their deepest will. Hypnosis (similar to meditation) is an altered state of consciousness whereby you are open to suggestion and able to access the subconscious mind and vividly recall and feel past events. It is similar to daydreaming and guided or creative visualization. Neurologically, hypnosis is a state where your brain waves slow down and the slower your brain waves are, the more relaxed you become and the faster you learn and absorb information. Hypnosis is not sleep. An example of hypnosis or trance is driving a car and reaching your destination without remembering most of the journey, having lost track of time. Another example is watching a movie and feeling it as real, experiencing all of the emotions – fear, laughter, suspense, excitement, anger, tension – even though we know it is just a movie. I remember one friend who went into trance after seeing the movie Rocky for the first time. He was so moved and energized by the movie, he ran all the way home – seven miles – without even saying goodbye! Here is a secret: all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. In other words, the hypnotist gives you the suggestions to relax, breathe deeply, etc and you decide to follow or not. You have complete control at all times as evidenced by Steve on the Montel shown at our website. And if you are worried about being brainwashed, then take note of everything you watch, listen or read. They are all affecting your mind. Take charge of your mind and what you feed it. As Montel pointed out on his TV show this past Monday, hypnotherapy and my techniques are vastly different from traditional hypnosis for stop smoking or other symptom removal. What I do is not simply suggestion, commands nor NLP. I go deeper under hypnosis to uncover the root cause of the issue, indentifying the triggering event during childhood, release the emotions, identify what beliefs were taken on at the time, gain new understanding about the event – why it happened, understand that the event is now over, done with and in the past (the subconscious mind loops the event) forgive the people associated with the triggering event, express compassion for self and those people, and take on new beliefs about self, the world and life. Also, command or suggestion hypnosis will not clear the cause of the issue or block – it only works to try and remove the symptom. I do not do symptom removal. I always seek out the cause so that the client can get the real healing. No one has done this process of hypnotherapy on national TV prior to this week. Notice that I stress the importance of forgiveness and compassion. This is my primary intention and it is the same thing that Jesus, Mother Theresa and all the great teachers emphasized: love and forgiveness. I believe the key to being set free of most of our issues is forgiveness, which comes from insights and new understanding about past events, and the people who did or didn’t do things to and for us. Note Jesus’ last words, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Permanent change occurs when there is new understanding and this is the greatest difference between hypnosis (suggestions and commands) and hypnotherapy. I provide Quit Smoking Hypnosis programs and many other Hypnosis programs like <a href="http://Weight”>http://patrickwanis.com/weightlosshypnosis.asp”>Weight loss hypnosis.

The Atkins Diet And How It Works
The Atkins Diet is a popular “low-carb” weight reduction program, but it is often greatly misunderstood! Common, yet slightly exaggerated depictions of the plan portray dieters devouring nothing but vast amounts of meat and fat. Although the program is not quite that simple, many dieters under the program have successfully lost weight and improved their health.
On this plan, dieters follow a highly specific regimen based on cutting carbohydrate intake. The nutritional aspects of the plan are emphasized over exercise and other factors, although getting physical activity is encouraged. There are four phases in the Atkins plan:
Induction: During this two-week stage at the start of the diet program, dieters can only have up to 20 grams of carbs per day. Dieters can ingest high protein foods such as meat and poultry, fats such as butter and oils, and other food with little to no carbohydrate content. Many foods with carbs are not permitted at all, including alcoholic beverages.
This initial phase is intended to help the body switch from burning carbs for energy, as it usually does, into burning stored up fat (the state called ketosis). Most dieters begin to lose weight during this stage.
Ongoing Weight Loss: During this stage, dieters gradually increase their carbohydrate consumption by adding 5 grams of carbs into their diet every week. Dieters fine-tune their diet, losing weight to put themselves within 5-10 pounds of their goal weight, before moving into the Pre-maintenance phase.
Pre-maintenance: Dieters use the Pre-maintenance phase to find out the maximum amount of carbs they can ingest without experiencing weight gain. During this stage, dieters add 10 grams of carbohydrates to their diet each week. Once dieters reach their target weight and can maintain it for one month, they move into the Lifetime Maintenance stage.
Lifetime Maintenance: For lasting results, the Atkins program is designed to be maintained throughout the dieter’s lifetime. Using the strategies that helped the dieter reach their goal weight, the dieter develops an eating and exercise program to stay at their target weight. Individuals can revert to previous stages if they ever begin to regain weight.
Dieters who can commit to the Atkins diet are typically successful in losing weight; however, many people are unable to keep following the program and end up quitting early on in the initial induction stage. In general, most diet plans fail because dieters cannot stay committed to the plan.
Many people struggle with dieting because they experience strong food cravings, have problems with compulsive overeating, cannot control their appetites, or simply lack the motivation to lose weight. Overcoming these mental obstacles is the most challenging aspect of losing weight.
One reason why many people cannot seem to manage their eating is because they are emotional eaters. Such people eat in response to their feelings, such as when they are bored or upset. However, this habit programs a “conditioned response” into the unconscious mind. This means that when individuals experience the same emotion that made them overeat initially, they will feel compelled to overeat again and again.
Hypnotherapy works by helping our unconscious minds disassociate our emotions from our eating habits. To eliminate the conditioned response to overeat, a hypnotherapy weight loss program is used to break the association in the unconscious mind between overeating and specific “trigger” situations.
For example, if you tend to binge eat when you feel bored, hypnosis can disassociate boredom from eating in your unconscious mind. Hypnosis can then be used to replace the overeating response with another activity, such as exercising. That way, the next time you suffer from boredom, instead of having an urge to overeat, you will feel motivated to engage in physical activity.
Hypnosis is an excellent tool for stress relief as well, helping us cope with our stressful feelings and relieve tension without eating. As a relaxation tool, it calms the mind, helps you develop strategies to cope with stress, and boosts your self confidence to promote natural weight loss.
Self hypnosis can also be used to remove the emotional stressors that keep you from losing weight. Many overweight people use their weight for emotional protection. For example, after a painful end to a relationship, people might find themselves becoming overweight so they can avoid relationships and avoid having to endure emotional pain again. Through hypnosis, we can turn our negative thoughts into positive ones and focus on improving our health instead of becoming overwhelmed by our emotions.
Not only is hypnosis a powerful motivation tool, it relieves stress, extinguishes the conditioned responses that trigger overeating, and can help you overcome the mental obstacles that prevent weight loss. Hypnotherapy for weight loss is really effective at helping people stay on a diet plan, such as the Atkins plan, and lose weight. Alan B. Weight Loss Hypnosis can Work for You!
Using hypnosis to lose weight is a very effective technique. Losing those extra few kilo’s can be much easier than you think, and using hypnosis to lose weight will obliterate those fad diet you may have tried time and time again.
So how do you lose weight with hypnosis?
Well, using hypnosis to lose weight isn’t really as difficult as it sounds. It is done by changing peoples associations. Usually overweight people don’t have enough pain linked to being overweight, and also too much pleasure linked to eating. This combination is very detrimental to the health of any individual.
To lose weight using hypnosis, there are several key steps.
The first step to lose weight with hypnosis is to create an image in your mind of what how you want your future body to look. Make this image seem real and then write down the exact characteristics of that person.
For example, for myself (a 100kg male), I would say “I will be 90 kilograms, and I will have only 8% body fat. I will be able to run at 80% intensity for 30 minutes without stopping and will be able to do 50 push-ups.
I will have a 32 inch waist and will be proud to walk down the beach with my shirt off”. This is just an example of something I might picture. Everyone’s goals will be different. To lose weight using hypnosis, think about these on a regular basis, and view it as if it is the present, so you think that these goals have already been achieved. How does it feel? In what ways is your life better? In what ways are you a better person? This will link more pleasure to achieving the desired outcome.
The second step to lose weight using hypnosis is to have a positive frame of mind, and actually believe you can do it! Because like anything in life, if you believe you can, then you can! The subconscious mind is a very powerful thing, and if you keep telling it that you can’t lose weight using hypnosis, then you wont be able to, but if you tell it that you can do it easily and keep the changes for the rest of your life, then you subconscious mind will believe that, and that’s exactly what will happen.
The last step to lose weight using hypnosis is to add emotion, to embed your goal in your mind. To do this, you just write down a list of things you absolutely despise about being overweight, feel the pain inside yourself when you think about these things, make it so powerful that you wont ever want to be that person again. Feel the agony of being so self-conscious that you can’t do things like go to the beach, gym or even out to a meal with friends.
Feel the massive hurt of when you couldn’t find clothes that would fit you. Feel the people’s eyes looking at you, and you know they’re thinking “I hope I never look like that” feel the pain and know that you will never feel that pain again because you are ready to change and you wont live another second without making the change, it will happen NOW and it will last FOREVER!
Now on the other side of that, you use positive associations as well, to lose weight using hypnosis. Link an enormous amount of pleasure to the things you will get when you have lost the weight, make it real and feel it inside you.
It will become so simple to lose weight using hypnosis and you will never need to try another crash diet again. Enjoy! Weight Loss – are You Fighting With yourself to Lose Weight?
Have you tried to lose weight in the past but failed? You may have been fighting yourself to do it. I’ll explain. There are two main parts to our mind: the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious part of you wants to lose weight and look good this upcoming season. Meanwhile, the subconscious wants you to continue to eat all the foods that make you feel comfortable and happy. Unfortunately for you, those tend to be composed of sugar and carbohydrates which only make your waist line grow. In a scenario like this one, the person ends up yo-yo-dieting because their “Will Power” can only last so long – literally. Will Power only gives you a short burst of energy. Once it’s gone. It’s just gone. The only thing left behind is your emotional stress and frustration which can lead to a vicious cycle of weight rebounding. That is the reason why the problem of losing weight needs to be tackled at the source of where the mental conflict is – in your subconscious. The subconscious is where all your habits and patterns lie such as not eating healthy, not liking to exercise and drinking only soda. Once you get this part of your mind in sink with your goals, change becomes easy because you’re no longer fighting with yourself. Hypnosis Has Been Scientifically Proven To Work For Weight Loss. Setting your mind to lose weight and motivating yourself to enjoy healthy habits is possible with Hypnosis. A significant number of studies (several of which are listed below), have demonstrated that adding hypnosis to a weight loss program significantly increases its success. A 1996 study conducted at the University of Connecticut published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology found that, on average, people who used Hypnosis were able to lose 2.5 times more weight than a person not using Hypnosis. The authors went a step further by stating, “The correlation analysis indicated that the benefits of Hypnosis increased substantially over time.” As someone who previously battled with keeping extra pounds off, I know that you need to have the correct frame of mind in order to be successful. You may have experienced occasions when you’ve dieted and exercised but then your will power wore off. In the end, you slipped back to your old patterns and rebounded in weight. This continuous vicious cycle affects you not just physically but emotionally because as your self-esteem spirals downwards you start to overeat; you start eating calorie laden comfort foods again and you get stuck in the same pattern. This scenario happens to countless of Americans who fuel the diet industry with their purchases of diet pills and other fads in hope of achieving their weight loss goals. The problem, however, is that the more you rebound, the more you set yourself up for failure for the next time you try to diet. In reality, the perfect equation for most people to lose weight is simple. It’s: Weight Loss = The Right Mind Set + Healthy Eating + Exercise That’s it. In life as in science, the simplest answer is often the correct answer. Hypnosis can help you achieve the right state of mind by “cleaning up the mental clutter” that prevents you from holding a determined course to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. It gives you the ability to naturally chose to eat healthy foods, to want to exercise and to be focused on achieving your weight loss goals. For some, it’s as simple as one session, while others see benefit from a series of sessions. In a research article titled, Hypnotherapy in weight loss treatment, a group of researchers found that in a test group of 60 participants, those that did not use Hypnosis only lost .5 lbs while the group using Hypnosis lost 17lbs. Why? Because the people who had access to Hypnosis sessions were able to achieve that weight loss combination that eludes most people today. More proof of the ability of Hypnosis to boost a person’s weight loss was shown in January of 2004, when Dateline aired “Losing it: Dateline ultimate diet challenge.” The show compared some of the most well known methods known to losing weight including the Atkin’s diet, Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, extreme exercise with calorie restrictions, working with a diet coach and Hypnosis. The top two weight loss techniques that worked were Hypnosis and the Atkins diet. Unfortunately for the man who used the Atkin’s diet (Rick Burns), while he lost weight, he also became sick. “Rick developed a painful case of gout, a condition he’d had before, that he suspected was a result of the diet.” His diet had to be modified. Marc Merlis, the man who did Hypnosis along with exercising and eating healthy continued to happily lose weight. “After three months under Hypnosis, his wife had a nickname for him. Incredibly, “droopy drawers” had lost the most so far, a staggering 40 pounds. That’s when droopy’s wife got in on the action. She went to the hypnotist to quit smoking. And guess what? Smoke free, fat free. Five months in, for the Merlis’s things couldn’t be better. And at their son’s bar mitzvah this May, lifting Marc was a piece of cake.” As long as Marc continued his Hypnosis routine, he was able to continue his path of losing weight. One of the things that I noticed about this weight loss challenge was how much the other contestants suffered by the calorie restrictions that they had to undergo. It’s hard to focus if you feel that you are starving. Hypnosis helps program your mind to think thin – this includes wanting to exercise and wanting to eat healthy so you’re not constantly struggling about what choices you have to make. An added plus to Hypnosis is that it helps you control your stress levels. This in turn helps you to lose weight. Even highly respected consumer advocate John Stossel of ABC’s 20/20, who is known for debunking fraudulent claims, agrees that Hypnosis is no sham. In his best-selling book, “Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidty”, he makes a bold take on Hypnosis: “Just when my skeptic’s antennae convince me I always know bunk when I see it, I get fooled. I assumed hypnosis in medicine was one more con game… “Hypnotherapy will help you lose weight!” C’mon, if it worked, there wouldn’t be all those overweight people around. Truth: Hypnosis works — if you let it!” Smokers can also reap the benefits of Hypnosis for weight loss. A two-fold study stated that both nonsmokers and smokers alike experienced significant weight loss as well as decline in their Body Mass Index compared to the group who did not practice Hypnosis. In fact, the group who used Hypnosis continued to show lower post treatment weights. Non-invasive and relaxing, Hypnosis makes achieving your goals easy. Hypnosis simply allows you to have better motivation and self control as well as a positive emotional association with your diet and exercise. You don’t just lose weight, you gain control of your own life, so that you can go out there and achieve all the other things that are on your list of goals.
