Yo! Yo-Yo Dieters Take a Chill Pill!

Jan 3rd, 2010 by admin

If you’d like to take a pill to lose weight – a weight loss pill – seems like there may just be one available that works, after all. And while it’s been the dream of many an overweight person for as long as there have been people, it seems it just may be true after all.
Yes, there actually seems to be a pill that really does help you lose weight. Weight loss, pill. Simple equation.
But what are the real facts about taking a pill and expecting weight loss?
Well, a research study has been done that suggests you can lose about a pound a week if you take this particular weight loss pill. That doesn’t sound spectacular and most dieters are looking for a faster quick fix. But consider this. If you could sustain that weight loss over a full year you’d have lost 52 pounds in weight. That’s a UK 3 stone 10 pounds. That’s a big weight loss by anybody’s standards.
It’s not really a miracle cure, but the research does show it as working. You can buy it without prescription over the counter at places like supermarkets and health food stores. It actually encourages you to eat less by making you feel fuller and slowing down how fast the food stays in your stomach.
Now, if eating less food sounds like your personal idea of hell, you should also know that this herbal pill seems to change how you think about eating – so it won’t be such a big deal to you to eat less. And changing how you think about food is really one of the keys to being successful in weight loss and keeping the weight off.
What’s also very interesting is that in the test done in a research study, the people who lost weight didn’t actually change their diet or exercise routines. And they still lost weight. That bears thinking about for a moment.
They didn’t suddenly start going to the gym for 3 hours a day and they didn’t starve themselves. Doesn’t that sound better than living on rabbit food? And if you want an occasional fast food meal there’s really nothing to stop you. Just keep it in sensible moderation.
With Britain high in the charts for obesity it’s a big problem and it’s getting worse every year. Nearly a quarter of British women are clinically obese, a slightly higher percentage than for British men. That makes us officially the fattest nation in the European Union. Hardly something to celebrate.
Most experts agree that the rising tide of obesity is likely to cause future health problems, such as heart disease and diabetes and even cancers. It’s something that can only really be improved one person at a time. Using a herbal weight loss pill might just do that.
And that makes changing the way you think about food an important step in staying healthy into the forseeable future. The research says that the particular herbal pill tested seems to help with changing your mindset. As any long-term successful weight loss story will record, you have to have the right mindset first in order to succeed with permanent weight loss.
Ask anyone who’s very overweight and they will probably tell you that a lot of the time when they’re eating, it’s not actually because they’re hungry. Sometimes it’s out of boredom and sometimes it’s loneliness, but quite often it really isn’t about hunger.
So for effective weight loss it’s a good idea to change the way you think about food.
The pill seems to trigger a pyschological shift in your reaction to food, by causing the stomach to empty more slowly, making you feel fuller for longer. if you don’t like the idea of using weight loss pills to achieve the result, good old fashioned fibre may have a similar effect.
And for making a change in mindset there are various tools and systems available which can support you in your quest to lose weight and keep it off.
One very effective method of changing your relationship with food and eating is through hypnotherapy. The downside is the ongoing cost and the fact you usually have to travel to they hypnotherapist’s office.
For people who don’t want to do that there are self-help programs available that can help change how you think and react to food.
If you really want success in your weight loss it’s probably worth using a couple of different tools to make sure you get the success you want. Good nutrition, sensible activity, fresh air and fresh food are all basics in the quest for weight loss. Good tools are the icing on the cake.
Just don’t have too much cake! Amin Motin writes about health and weight loss issues and has created a subliminal audio system that assists you to think like a slim person. For more details visit his subliminal audio website for a free report.WP Robot Wordpress Autoposter

Why Does The Fat Keep Coming Back?!

Jan 1st, 2010 by admin

Nearly every popular diet plan ends up backfiring. They seem good at first, but they adversely stimulate the body’s survival mechanisms. This causes the body to store extra fat, lower its metabolic rate, conserve energy and increase food cravings. Desperate people hope in vain that the results will be different this time. And the next. This is the dreaded ‘yo-yo’ dieting syndrome. Don’t think it is only you. This happens to almost everyone who loses weight. 98 percent, to be precise. And to make matters worse, the failures lead to a lack of confidence, sadness and misery. You might think you don’t have the willpower to be successful. It might always seem like the wrong time. Past failures may have drained your enthusiasm and left you with no motivation. It gets worse. Frustrating to many people trying to lose weight is that even when they do eat properly and exercise regularly they still don’t see results. Or they put the weight they lost back on, with interest. Why? Contrary to what many diet centers would have you believe, weight loss is not a simple matter of balancing calories in and calories out, or even of nutrition and exercise. There are other factors that make the process much more complicated. We tend to think of the weight loss process as a matter of physical change. However, this is only partly true. The physical changes are governed by the brain, through a complicated system of electrical impulses, hormones and neuro-transmitters. If the brain sends the wrong signals to the body the weight loss process can become completely ineffective, despite your physical efforts. What are the wrong signals? They are natural survival instincts, and they can wreak havoc with weight management. When they are activated, the brain coaxes the body to conserve energy. Metabolism lowers. ‘Stress hormones’ cause an excess of blood sugar to be converted into fat, and also inhibit the breakdown of body fat to energy. In these circumstances the body naturally seeks the most convenient and simple sources of energy – sugars and simple carbohydrates. This explains those cravings for sweets and simple carbs? Fat is last on the list to be burned, because the process is less efficient and takes longer. That is not good for survival, and survival is the priority in these circumstances. So how are these survival instincts activated? They can be activated by ANY danger or stress – real or imagined. This even includes obsessive thoughts about dieting which alert the brain to a false starvation scenario. As far as our brains and bodies are concerned: stress is stress. ALL stress puts us in an ‘emergency’ state. It doesn’t matter if the stress is life-threatening or simply everyday hassles of life. When we get overwhelmed, traffic jams, parenting, school, bills, work or practically anything can trigger the same negative effect. There is no doubt about it: Worry, anger, stress and all negative emotions are fattening! Since the body is controlled by the brain, and the brain is so easily influenced by the mind, your thoughts can make or break you, regardless of how much physical effort you expend. Basically, before changing your body you must change your mind – specifically, the subconscious mind. Many of my clients see a shift in their weight loss and metabolism only AFTER they learn to control stress, worry and negativity. How do you accomplish this? The only way I know to quickly and effectively change the subconscious mind is to use hypnosis. It is easy, safe and can work with anyone. Why does hypnosis work so well? It is quite simple really. Hypnosis allows you to ‘re-program’ your subconscious mind. If you don’t change the subconscious you could be setting yourself up for another failure. The subconscious is simply defending what it is accustomed too. It just doesn’t understand your conscious goals. We have all experienced this! Using hypnosis, removing stress and other blocks to weight loss opens the doors to success that may have been slammed shut in the past. For so many who have lost all hope, this really provides a refreshing and realistic opportunity. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are sweeping the nation. Its effectiveness has been well documented in countless studies and trials. Hypnosis has become so popular that millions have benefited from its use. It is used daily in medicine and dentistry, psychology, law, education, sports improvement and general self-improvement. Everyone can be hypnotized. When in hypnosis you are completely aware and in control, so it is completely safe. It is also fun! So instead of just imagining, you can actually experience having tremendous willpower and self-control. You can enjoy healthy exercise. You can naturally maintaining your ideal size. And all the while feeling relaxed, confident and positive. What could be better? Remember the rule that you must change the mind before changing your body. Then you can finally experience lasting success. People who want to lose weight without the pain and repeated failure are turning to hypnosis. Hypnosis – a welcome alternative to crash dieting

Dec 29th, 2009 by admin

For many the struggle to lose weight is an endless cycle of self sacrifice, low self esteem and resigned acceptance. It is a difficult and daunting task to lose weight, much of the hard work can be rapidly undone when a crash diet ends and normality returns. There are often psychological reasons for overeating such as stress, boredom or sadness. Unless these reasons and patterns of behaviour are changed it is likely that the ‘old ways’ will return. There are alternatives however: Hypnosis combined with Neuro Linguistic Programming and Time Line Therapy has proven very successful. Master Hypnotist Luca Senatore has helped many people lose up to 6 pounds a week. Luca works with the unconscious mind to identify and clear the reasons for unhealthy eating. He then works to establish alternative behaviours creating a healthy attitude towards food and general lifestyle. Luca is currently involved with a documentary recording how a local woman lost a total of 5 stones following a hypnotherapy program. Details of this exciting project will be released in October 2009. Many of Luca’s clients report big improvements in other areas of their life. Julie attended a 2 session program and says: ‘Food does not seem my priority anymore. I eat when I am hungry and find that my portions are smaller. I have now lost a total of 8 lbs!’ Kim has reported: ‘my carbohydrate portions are about half what they used to be and it’s not something I have to enforce, that’s just the way it is. I feel more energetic and my thoughts are naturally turning to exercise in my free time. I am not craving junk food anymore.’ Luca simply claims: ‘diets don’t work, reprogramming your mind to feel less hungry and like certain foods less does.’ Luca Senatore runs East Anglia Hypnotherapy based in Cambridge and is a fully qualified Master Hypnotist, NLP  and Time Line Therapy Practitioner and Life Coach registered with the British Institute of Hypnotherapy. www.eastangliahypnotherapy.com. 01223 303 904 or bookings@eastangliahypnotherapy.com Sales and Marketing Professional with 20 years experience at Corporate level. How Suggestible Are You?

Dec 27th, 2009 by admin

I had a conversation the other evening with a group of people who all work in the same firm and in which several colleagues had all lost significant amounts of weight and had kept it off. I asked how they had got started on this course of action. The answer, which everyone was in agreement with, was that one particular person had started to lose weight and was about 20 pounds lighter than before; everyone began to comment upon how good he looked and then one colleague said he would do it too…then the other’s said “if you’re doing it, I’ll do it too”. A reference was made to the “herd instinct”. That’s how it all began. Everyone who joined this group has lost weight and kept if off – EVERYONE. Now that is, I have to say, unusual. Clearly the first person, the leader, inspired a great deal of confidence within the group. I do not know them well enough to know what dynamics were at work, but it is interesting to conjecture what might have happened… Perhaps this “weight loss leader” was someone who was particularly well respected in general, someone who everybody looked up to and tried to emulate. Perhaps this was not the case; maybe this “weight loss leader” was actually a REALLY overweight person, who had tried every diet under the sun and failed in the past, and in losing weight now made everyone think “If he can do it, I DEFINITELY can”. You can see now how diverse the underlying dynamics could be, but whatever they were, they worked. What is also demonstrated is how suggestible we all are, provided we are given the right suggestion. A stage hypnotist knows only too well how to put the human instinct for suggestibility to work. A stage hypnotist will pick the most highly suggestible subject to perform the first “trick” and then work in order from one person to another in accordance with their initial levels of suggestibility. As each person is seen responding to the hypnotist’s suggestion the following person’s suggestibility is raised. And so by the end, the least suggestible subject will become as suggestible as the first subject to be picked. That person’s belief in the hypnotist’s ability is raised, bit by bit, simply by observing the others reactions. The bottom line is that we are all suggestible, given the correct stimulus. I wish I had a dollar for every person who over the years has booked a hypnotherapy session and upon arrival their opening announcement was “I don’t know if this will work as I know I’m not suggestible”. As a hypnotherapist, my job is to work out what is the right “hook” for each person. This job is quite often done before the client arrives; for example, if a heavy smoker has been for a hypnotherapy session and stopped easily, then everyone they tell expects it to work for them, just as if a “larger” person has lost a lot of weight encourages everyone else to think that they can do it too. And so when asked the question of how suggestible you are, the answer is that you are as suggestible as you want to be. It boils down to expectation and desire. We are all inherently suggestible which is witnessed in the way in which we pick up our native tongue, and learn so many things simply by imitating and copying. We are suggestible in things such as clothing fashion, hair style, and choice of career. Every human being is extraordinarily suggestible! Ask WHAT Instead of WHY

Dec 25th, 2009 by admin

Every now and then life throws us a curve-ball. This is unavoidable even for the most grounded and successful people. There are a number of causes of frustration and unhappiness, and one of these is the expectation that ‘everything should always go exactly as I want it to go’. Books on the subject of the Law of Attraction would have you believe that you CAN have everything your way all of the time, I’ve never seen this proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is not to say that I’m not a fan of the Law of Attraction; on the contrary, I’m a big fan and I use the principles in my every day life. For the most part I am happy. I’m able to create the things I want and I’m living my life on purpose. But like everybody, I have days where I just want to cry out with frustration. We all have those days. The key to getting through them is to let go of your attachment to things being ‘just so’ all of the time. One of the most common questions we can ask ourselves when things aren’t going quite as we had planned is ‘Why?’ This question can often leaves us feeling stuck and defeated, because the answer is usually something we don’t want to hear or acknowledge. The ‘why’ question very often finishes with the phrase ‘I don’t know.’ If they are not used correctly, ‘why’ questions can exacerbate the existing problem rather than assisting us to generate a solution. The ‘why’s are particularly prevalent among my weight loss clients. Here are some of the more disempowering ‘why’ questions: * Why am I doing this?;* Why did he do that to me?;* Why me????’;* Why Can’t I lose this weight? When you ask these kinds of questions you often end up going around in circles. Many of my clients become stuck in victim mentality. They hang onto past hurts and resentments, continually asking ‘Why??’, and continuing to get the same answer. ‘I don’t know’. The truth is it’s likely that most times you will never know the answer to life’s mysteries. Most often we never really discover the real reasons why some things happen to us, so if we allow ourselves to become attached to finding that answer then it only causes more frustration, pain and emptiness. Take weight loss for example. When I conduct the initial weight loss hypnotherapy consultation, I very rarely ask the client to describe her current eating habits. Whatever she’s doing, it’s not working; that’s why she’s come to see me. So from where I’m standing, asking the client about what she is doing now only serves to give the unwanted behavior more power and waste valuable time that could otherwise be used to discuss more positive strategies. Even if I was to engage the client in discussion of her current behavior, she would probably tell me: ‘I don’t know why I do it.’ ‘Danielle’ found herself going around in circles. She was 50 kilos overweight and getting bigger every day. No matter what work we did together, she continued to hang onto her old behaviors. Each session she would earnestly say to me: ‘I don’t know why I keep doing this’. Unfortunately, ‘Danielle’ was looking to me to provide the answer and when I couldn’t, she went away deeming the therapy a ‘failure’. You can’t win’em all. But all was not lost; my experience with ‘Danielle’ inspired me to focus on the solution rather than the problem with my clients. Remember, your subconscious mind gives you whatever you focus on. When focusing on solutions, I like to use ‘what’ questions, such as: * What emotions are you feeling when you overeat?;* What purpose does overeating serve you at the time?;* What specifically are you willing to do differently to change your circumstances? This last question is very important. At the end of the day, ‘Danielle’ continued with her old habits and behaviors because she was not willing to do something different. No amount of hypnosis can help a person who is not willing to change what they are doing. Now, I’m not saying we should never explore the reasons why people overeat and refuse to exercise. Diagnosis is an intrinsic part of my program. What I AM saying is that most times we don’t need to know why we are behaving in a certain way in order to be able to move away from that behavior. We simply need to get ourselves out of that stuck mindset that says ‘because I have always done this in the past, this means I am destined to do it forever.’ So the next time you feel stuck, try a ‘what’ question instead. This will open your mind to creative solutions and inspire you to do something different. Here’s to positive change. Sonia Devine is one of Australia’s leading experts in weight loss hypnotherapy. Tired of the Same Old Weight Loss Failures? There is a Better Way

Dec 23rd, 2009 by admin

Nearly every popular diet plan ends up backfiring. They seem good at first, but they adversely stimulate the body’s survival mechanisms. This causes the body to store extra fat, lower its metabolic rate, conserve energy and increase food cravings. Desperate people hope in vain that the results will be different this time. And the next. This is the dreaded ‘yo-yo’ dieting syndrome. You know the problem. You’re tired of losing the same weight over and over. You’ve tried every diet and fad imaginable. All your well-intentioned, painful efforts failed. You are not alone. Only 2% of dieters keep the weight off for 5 years. More than 60% of Americans are overweight. Even worse, because it can be so hard to stick to a diet plan most people ultimately just give up, and suffer many negative emotions. Sound familiar? Also, many believe that they don’t have the strength or willpower to succeed. Or it is just never the right time. Desperate people hope in vain that the results will be different next time. And the next. This is the dreaded ‘yo-yo’ dieting syndrome. Over $30 billion spent on diet products, pills, fads and centers each year has proven one undeniable fact: DIETS DON’T WORK! So what can you do? Is there hope? Yes… read on. One of the most interesting and revealing weight loss challenges of our time was witnessed by millions of viewers. “Dateline” put six methods to the test in front of millions of viewers; Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Jorge Cruise, Marathon Training, and Hypnosis. Many were surprised by the results. All but one of the methods showed poor to terrible results – even though the participants had unfair coaching and advantages not available to ordinary people. There were also painful side-effects. Only one method really succeeded – hypnosis. And this was with the hardest case – a pastry chef with cravings, and a difficult schedule. Yet after three months under hypnosis he had lost the most – a staggering 40 pounds. Also, he was the only participant who did not suffer. He was happy. Changes occurred naturally. Not to mention other positive benefits and feelings. Also, he was the only one who had started a reasonable lifestyle change that could be maintained. None of the other methods can do that. This televised study shows without a doubt how many popular weight loss programs fail. Yet I hear all the time; “I must go back to ’so-and-so’ because it worked last time.” Let’s be serious; if it worked then why do you need to go back? Did you regain the weight plus interest? Then it failed! I am appalled that most diet centers thrive on repeat business. It is just not fair to exploit people that way. So let’s redefine success as life-long freedom from a weight problem. And to make it a reality, perhaps it’s time for a different strategy – one that actually works! To paraphrase Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Hypnosis is clearly a superior method for making lasting and natural changes in behavior. The evidence supporting this is overwhelming. The incredible long-term results put other methods to shame. With the aid of hypnosis you have it within you to enjoy freedom from cravings; have the energy and desire to exercise; naturally choose and enjoy healthier foods and portions; achieve freedom from stress and stress-eating and enjoy amazing confidence. The use of hypnosis is sweeping the nation. Clinically tested and proven, hypnosis is a fresh approach to eliminating problems and modifying behavior. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Americans are using hypnosis every day. Old myths and misconceptions about hypnosis have been replaced by its ethical use in law, medicine, psychology, dentistry, education, sports and self-improvement. Millions have benefited from its use. Imagine having tremendous willpower, enjoying healthy exercise, naturally maintaining your ideal size and figure and always being calm and relaxed. Why imagine? Everyone can be easily hypnotized. Hypnotized people are fully aware and in control, and cannot be made to do anything against their will. In fact, hypnosis is as safe as falling asleep at night, as well as being relaxing and fun. The Weight Loss Study Witnessed by Millions

Dec 21st, 2009 by admin

In April 2003, “Dateline” introduced six members of the class of ‘78 at Quincy High in Massachusetts, looking to lose weight for their 25th reunion in the fall of 2003. The six methods used were Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Jorge Cruise, Marathon Training, and Hypnosis. Here is how they stack up: Slimfast Mark Giordani, using Slimfast started to complain of hunger all the time. And nothing seemed to satisfy him. “I went back to the attitude where I’m hungry, I’m going to eat and I don’t really care.” Despite expert intervention that is not available to most people, he couldn’t wait for the diet challenge to end. To quote Mark: “I’m going to IHOP tomorrow, and I’m getting the whole left side of the menu.” Obviously, if it needs expert intervention, it’s not likely to work on its own. Also, a lot of specialized food has to be bought. Hardly a recipe for success if you attempt to live life normally. Atkins The Atkins participant, Rick Burnes, had headaches, terrible constipation, and developed a painful case of gout, that he believed was a result of the diet. He gained 24 pounds, despite having specialized help from a leading Atkins expert, special meals and even medical attention. Enough said. So, could this plan be called a lifestyle? Definitely not. As well as having to buy expensive food, there had to be intervention from an expert. Weight Watchers Kathy Wynters, doing Weight Watchers, refused to weigh in, but after the diet immediately went for deserts and chocolates. To quote her: “The desserts and the chocolates. I had them, I wanted them and I had them.” And she began putting on weight. Despite having expert help, this occurred twice. The fact that this woman had used this program previously is very important. Since she weighed even more than before when starting the program this time it is clear that doing it in the past had not created any worthy changes in her lifestyle of metabolism. Also, expert ’supervision’ was required again. Obviously things go downhill when the supervision is ended? Jorge Cruise Eleanor Talbot, did the Jorge Cruise program. After having problems, Dateline arranged a weekend retreat to help Eleanor, and intervention from the programs founder. Further, because of emotional issues she had, she required more expert help again. Most people do not have access to this extra support. And it didn’t really help her. Again, she needed constant, expensive personal support. Keep in mind that although it is often vital to address emotional problems when losing weight, this is generally ignored with most programs. Marathon Training Lynn Frank tried marathon training. She also stuck to 1300 a day. She was trained by a leading expert. But progress was unsatisfactory. So Lynn received expert intervention from a nutritionist and exercise physiologist. Even though she did lose weight, she required extensive coaching and suffered a lot of pain and injury. Let’s face it – expert coaching is not a realistic lifestyle. Keep in mind that all the above participants had expert intervention not available to most. This shows that it’s not likely to work “out of the box”. Much expensive, specialized food had to be bought. Despite all the extra support the results were not at all good. Hypnosis Marc Merlis tried Hypnosis. No doubt he was the toughest case – a pastry chef with cravings, and a difficult schedule. After only three months Marc had lost more than any of the other participants – an incredible 40 pounds. Hypnosis motivated Marc to enthusiastically work with a fitness trainer, and to eat properly and with natural control That’s when his wife got in on the action. The hypnotist helped her to stop smoking. And guess what? Smoke free, and fat free. Very interesting is that using hypnosis, Marc did not suffer. He was happy. Changes occurred naturally. Not to mention other positive benefits and feelings. AND he established a true and realistic lifestyle. In summary, losing weight successfully is not about dieting, but rather a sensible lifestyle that can be readily accepted. Hypnosis facilitates this admirably. Instead of being an instant fix, it aims for long-term results. Another significant fact is that the problems other participants had with emotions, willpower, self-discipline and enthusiasm could also have been helped with hypnosis. Study after study shows that hypnosis is the most successful and affordable method for weight loss, as well as many other behavior changes. Hypnosis can truly be a light at the end of the tunnel for so many who have failed with other methods, or simply given up hope. I hope you agree that hypnosis was the clear winner. Is Oatmeal = Weight Loss?

Dec 20th, 2009 by admin

A study found that people who eat cereal for two out of their three daily meals could lose more than 4lb in six weeks. In addition, it was found that those who combined different varieties of cereal lost more weight than those who stuck to one type of cereal. Detailed analysis of the nutrition content of a cereal meal shows that this kind of food has very low in calorie and fat content. For example, when we compare a cereal breakfast (which contains cereal, corn grits, enriched and cooked with water and salt) with a typical breakfast eaten in a fast food restaurant (such as steak and egg with cheese bagel), we find that a breakfast in a fast food restaurant has more than 4 times in calorie value than a cereal breakfast (640 vs 143) besides having higher in sodium (1540 mg vs 540 mg), saturated fat (12 g vs 0 g) and cholesterol (265 mg vs 9 mg), which are bad to our health. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in eating oatmeal for weight loss. The oat is a species of cereal grain. Oatmeal is a product made by processing oats. Oatmeal means any crushed oats, rolled oats or cut oats used in recipes such as oatmeal cookies. The porridge made from this is also called oatmeal. The soluble fiber in oatmeal absorbs a considerable amount of water, which significantly slows down the digestive process. For one cup (219 g) of cooked oat bran, for example, it has 6 g of dietary fiber. And so oatmeal is filling. You can feel full longer. This, together with the fact that oatmeal is a low-fat food mean that oatmeal can be used as a weight control diet. From another research study, we found that breakfast eaters are more successful at losing weight and maintaining that weight loss compared to breakfast skippers. Based on these findings, we can infer that if we do not skip breakfast and eat cereals or oatmeal instead of meats for breakfast, we should lose weight easily. In fact, breakfast cereals are easier to incorporate into the diet as this requires only a simple change in diet. And so we can achieve our target of weight loss without much effort. Is that so? Nowadays, many kinds of instant cereal meal or oatmeal tend to be heavily processed, leaving it lower in fiber, but higher amounts in fat, sugar. and salt than the unprocessed, whole ones. And so it is no longer as healthy as expected. It is necessary to keep check the ingredient content per serving before eating. Actually, cereal meal and oatmeal are only a simple, decreased calorie diet. By following a regimen of decreased calorie consumption, any food specific diet will lead to weight loss. While this diet may result in weight loss over a period of time, few work in the long term because they don’t focus on the sustainable strategies of balanced nutrition, exercise and personal motivation. This requires persistence and motivation. In fact, the key to weight loss is not what you put in your mouth. It is what goes on in your mind.  What goes into your mind affects your thinking, your thinking affects your behaviors. When you choose behavior, you choose consequences. You create you own experience by what you choose and do. As mind controls our body and behaviors, if our mind can guide us to the proper way of eating, we would then have the weight we desire naturally. “The way to get rid of unwanted behaviors is not to try and stop them with will power. This will only guarantee the behaviors persist because you are given them the attention and energy. Find another, better way to satisfy the intention is what you need to do. This is how hypnosis comes in to solve the problem of overeating or other bad eating habits,” says Frank, the director of www.LossWeightEbook.com, which publishes an eBook “Learn Hypnosis for Weight Loss in One Day”. Under the hypnotic state, the suggestions go directly to our subconscious mind. As our subconscious mind is more powerful than our conscious mind, if the suggestions related to our eating habit go straightly to our subconscious level, the change would take place more effectively and permanently. Moreover, we need to have a belief that we can actually do something before we are likely to succeed. And change thought change physiology. The behavior you choose creates the results you get. In this regard, hypnosis can help us to remove any limiting belief about the ability to lose weight successfully. The belief may be deeply ingrained in your mind ever since your childhood. Frank is the founder of www.LossWeightEbook.com with mission dedicated to deliver health solutions to solve human problems as as to create a long, lasting and positive change in human behaviors.asap travel scarborough

Hypnosis Provides Alternative Approaches to Weight Loss

I read an article in the UK press a little while ago which referred to a rather unusual use of hypnosis in the area of weight loss. Most people who have used weight loss hypnosis will be aware that the most usual type of suggestion centers around the changing of habits – eating more slowly, only eating when seated at a meal table, etc – with additional suggestions aimed at altering taste preferences and motivation to exercise. This, broadly speaking, is what we are used to in terms of successful weight loss hypnosis. This article referred to something quite different, although clearly equally effective. The subject was given suggestions not to feel less hungry or to change habits, but instead to believe that they had undergone surgery; to believe that their stomach size had been reduced with the insertion of what is called the “gastric band”, so that effectively their stomach size had been reduced and that they could now only eat small meals. They could simply not eat too much – it is impossible after this type of intervention. Although the type of suggestion is very different, the result is the same. The subject ate less at meal times and lost weight very effectively. I was not at all surprised at the effectiveness of this suggestion, and was pleased to see that the hypnotherapist in question had adapted the suggestion to suit the clients mind set and had not simply made a “standard” set of suggestions. It is important in everything in life to “think outside the box”. Everyone after all comes to therapy with their own unique beliefs and expectations. There is a definite trend towards abrogating responsibility for ones weight gain and desired weight loss. As a community there is a tendency to make justification for weight gain and then to look for an easy answer when one feels “fat”. Far more people turn to surgery these days than ever before. And the medical profession answers this “need” by creating ever more diverse types of surgical interventions. One who is overweight tends to first try dieting. These diets are too numerous to cite here, and most people try a good number of them, and sometimes make several attempts at each one. The next step tends to be pills. Again, there are dozens of different weight loss pills, and most people try one or two brands, possibly more, before giving up once again. Then there are the meal replacement systems. And then there are the companies which will provide individually calorie counted meals for you. And then there is surgery, including the gastric band. It seems to me that the majority of people are disillusioned with “dieting” and just go looking for an easier option. Not only do we look for an easy option, we want to see results today, we want to be slim and healthy RIGHT NOW! We haven’t got time to diet, and we’ve come to believe that diets don’t work, or that they are too difficult. It’s easier to go for surgery and have a gastric band operation and then we just cannot eat too much – it’s impossible. And we don’t have to do anything at all ourselves about our weight. The surgeon is going to do it for us. We have, as I said before, abrogated responsibility, for our dietary choices and resulting weight gain. Reverting to the recent novel application of hypnotherapy for successful weight loss, the therapist managed to work within the mind set of their client. This client did not want to have to “work” at dieting; they just wanted to know that they could not eat very much at any meal. The therapist found a way to do this which the client could relate to, could visualize and imagine. This is the key not only to successful hypnotic suggestion, but also to success at anything in life. The ability to visualize and imagine the end result that you want to achieve is vital to achievement and accomplishment. Hypnosis is what makes that visualization more effective and allows change to happen more quickly than it would without hypnosis. This is because hypnosis allows access to your subconscious mind, the part which controls instinctive behaviors, beliefs and expectations. When in hypnosis your creative mind is more readily available and your power to visualize is enhanced. The right type of suggestion, combined with vivid visualization is a “heady” combination allowing easy and effective change. If only everyone knew and appreciated the wonderful power of hypnosis, they would not be seeking surgery as a short cut to effective weight loss; they would instead be seeking the help of hypnosis downloads to allow them to unlock the power of their own mind. 17 per cent of weight loss bounced back after 2.7 years

Dec 13th, 2009 by admin

According to the Centre for Nutritional Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, on average, dieters are likely to regain 17 per cent of their weight loss after 2.7 years.   The study investigates 602 individuals who have taken the weight loss program organized by the Centre one to five years before the survey. It was found that the percentage of weight bounced back increases with the time lapsed after taken the program. For those who have taken the program one year before, the percentage is 18 per cent. But if it is five years before, the percentage increases to 61 per cent. Of 602 cases under studies, only 12 per cent did not have their weight rebounded, 49 per cent regained 1 to 25 per cent of their original weight loss while 39 per cent with weight rebounded 26 per cent or more which is beyond the acceptable range.  For those with weight rebounded within the acceptable range (i.e. 25 per cent or less of their original weight loss), the study found that:   In addition, they did not eat dinner late and they had not switched their job nature during the period. More noticeably, they did not lose weight too quickly. Only 2% had their weight regained within the acceptable range had they lost eight pounds or more in a month. A healthy weight loss should be one pound per week. On the other hand, of those with ‘rebound weight’ more than 50 per cent of their lost weight, less than 30 per cent of them followed the food quota, kept the daily record of their food intake or kept on doing exercise. And more than 80 per cent of them did not seek professional support from time to time. In fact, shedding fat is the easier part of the battle against obesity, avoiding ‘rebound weight’ is the most difficult part. This requires persistent healthy eating habits such as eating wholesome foods as well as taking a good amount of moderate exercise regularly. Persistent healthy eating habits require the will of mind. This is where hypnosis comes in for help “The most powerful tool available for sustainable weight loss is from our subconscious mind,” says Frank Y.S., the founder of http://www.LossWeightEbook.com and the author of an eBook “Learn Hypnosis for Weight Loss in One Day”. Under the hypnotic state, the suggestions go directly to our subconscious mind. As our subconscious mind is more powerful than our conscious mind, if the suggestions related to our eating habits go straightly to our subconscious level, the change would take place more effectively and permanently. In addition, we have to be congruent about the outcome we want and having the belief that it is possible for us to make the change. “Our belief strongly influences our behavior,” Frank adds. We need to have a belief that we can actually do something before we are likely to succeed. In this regard, hypnosis can help remove any deeply rooted belief that limits our success in losing weight permanently.
